DIY or Call Us?

Here’s what you can safely check yourself: look at the cable for fraying, confirm the drum set screw is present (don’t tighten it), and test whether the door moves freely by hand with the opener disconnected. If the door binds or drops hard, the spring balance is off, and that’s not a cable issue.

Here’s where DIY goes wrong. The cables are under tension from the torsion spring, even when the door is closed. A slipped cable can recoil unpredictably when unhooked from the bottom bracket.
